Katie got her start while volunteering her time in the kitchen at The Taylor Family Foundation where they host a Celiac Camp during the summer. She baked all the sweets for two years for the campers and they raved about her treats! Inspired by the campers, Katie created Miglet's in 2008. For three years Miglet’s was strictly a catering business but by 2010, Katie had outgrown her production kitchen and decided to open her storefront, Miglet’s Cupcake Shop, in Danville, CA. Always listening to her customers, Miglet's expanded to be a full bakery, making just about everything under the sun. If her customers request it, Katie will find a way to make it. Gluten-free shopping can be difficult, so in 2011, Miglet's expanded to include a grocery aisle filled with favorite pastas, breads, frozen entrees, snack items, cereals and more.  Miglet’s carries many known brands but also carries new and growing local products!
